Description:

We will learn about the physiology and anatomy of the potato plant and the tuber. We will focus on the influence of different climates conditions and their response on the potato yield. How different factors affecting the production and the quality including: environmental factors, the effect of high temperature, and the radiation on dry matter production. Plant protection factors including diseases-causing (bacterial, fungi and viruses) and insects. Water availability and their importance to the plant. The scheme of potato seed production. The role of storage conditions and haw to keep optimal temperature and humidity to influence the quality via the tubers respiration.
