Studies of basic plant anatomy and physiology, plant interaction with the environment, growth of plants in relation to agriculture (soil, nutrients)

 

Course Objectives:

●       Giving basic knowledge and know-how on

-          plant cell biology, plant tissue, plant organs

-          plant growth

-          plant physiology: water and nutrient uptake and transportation, photosynthesis, reproduction, fruit development

-          soil

-          plant symbioses

-          plant hormones

●       Training students on plant structure and function and the importance of biotic and abiotic environmental conditions for optimal plant growth

●       Illustrate the importance of optimal growth conditions for plants to reach maximum yield of plant products in agriculture
