Course Description:
This
course examines a variety of mushrooms, as well as cultivation methods and
techniques.
Course Objectives:
- Provide fundamental knowledge of the fungal kingdom;
- Teach students how to grow farmed mushrooms;
- Provide tools for managing typical problems encountered during the process.
During the course, we will have formal lectures combined with in-class demonstrations. In addition, during the formal lectures, the students will be encouraged to discuss about fungus kingdom and cultivated mushrooms aspects related to their farms or agricultural practices in their home country.
